It’s been a relatively quiet year car wise, we were having a house extension so the drive needed to be accessed by the builder.
In June I bought a Transit Van, and took the Jaguar of the road for 3 months to sort out a load of niggles… I sorted one thing ( fitting the headlamp washers) and then put the Jaguar back on the road. So having 3 vehicles to choose from…. The Jag required a bit of fettling and new parts for the years MOT, I finally sorted a damage oil sensor wire , fitted new rear shocks and replaced some other suspension components.
The Van was a whim, but it’s been useful and once I finally get round to the rear seat conversion it will serve it’s intended purchase.
The Galaxy manages to just about soldier on, she required some welding for the MOT and then the starter motor started to get very sluggish, it’s been bad for years but was now getting to the point it was dragging the battery way down. It took 3 attempts to get the right starter but it’s an easy job to swap only taking five mins..
I also bought a car transporter trailer, it’s first job was to haul the old Focus back to the house to begin stripping it for parts.
