For a very long time 1994-2008 I spent a lot of time owning Ford sierras (see my history!), but also lusted after a Lotus 7 type replica, arround 2000 a colleague bought a Robin Hood Exmo ( Sierra Based Kit ) and we discussed the car a few times until our jobs parted ways. We bummped into each other a few times over the next 17 years. Then in June 2024 He spotted me in the local supermarket carpark and well, he was lookign to part with the car, but wanted it to go to somone who would apreciate it, and ultimatly he did not want anything for it… Well there was only one answer. So on 20th of July I collected her. I did give him a Very good bottle of Irish Whiskey, and a good bottle both from Bushmills Distilery Shop. ( one for drinking and one for a special ocasion).

HAvign been off the road for 5 years she was going to need at least a look over, but after doing basic checks ( oil, water, ensuring the engine was free with special freeing juice , she was started on the 21st. )

On the list to do so far.

Build a small car greenhouse.
Replace Cam belt, Water Pump and Tensioner.
Replace the steering wheel with removaeable type So I can get in .
Fix Charging issue
Fix Fuel Guage
Fix Temp Guage
Fix Handbreak warning light.

She should become qualified for historic vehicle exemption either next spring or the one after.
